Steel Strip
Steel strip - long products metal, which has the shape of a rectangle, characterized by a certain length and width. At the mills, the strip is produced by hot-rolled and cold-rolled at rolling mills. In our warehouses receive a strip or strip by cutting on a guillotine of sheets or rolls.
Steel used for the production of carbonaceous ordinary quality, low-alloyed, phosphorus, carbon quality, alloy, structural or ordinary. The strip is also galvanized, getting a galvanized strip.
The quality of the surface strip has following types of groups:
- 1GP
- 2GP
- 3GP
The main standards for the manufacture of steel strip:
1) GOST 103-76 (103-2006).
The strip of general purpose is hot rolled and the steel strip for nuts - the width of the strip can be 11-200 mm, thickness - from 4 to 60 mm.
2) GOST 82-70
Hot-rolled wide-rolled steel, produced on universal mills. The width of the line: 200-1050 mm, thickness 6-60 mm, length: 5-12 m; measured length, unmeasured length, multiple measured length.
We chop a strip of sheets most often on the width of the sheet, as this allows the guillotine.
According to the rib curvature, the precision of manufacturing a strip is subdivided:
- steel grade A - increased accuracy,
- steel grade B - normal accuracy - the most common steel grade.
Metal strip manufacturers: OOO Nizhegorodsky Metalworking Plant, OAO Volgograd Metallurgical Plant Krasny Oktyabr, ZAO Omutninsky Metallurgical Plant, OAO MMK (Magnitogorsk), PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih.
The steel strip is used for grounding and lightning rods, for the manufacture of metal structures and for billets of sectional and pipe metal, in the manufacture of springs, nuts, in bridge building, shipbuilding, agriculture, for finishing buildings.
