Smooth rebar - construction steel hot-rolled rebar, steel profile of circular cross section, does not corrugation, and corresponds to strength steel grade AI (A240). According to the production method, smooth rebars are subdivided:

- hot rolling (can be replaced with hot-rolled steel)
- cold rolling - hardened by exhaust
- thermally hardened

It is made of carbon steel grades corresponding to the chemical composition of GOST 380-88 (st3sp, st3ps, st3kp), or low-alloy steel.

GOST 5781-82

This standard applies to hot-rolled round smooth and corrugated steel intended for reinforcement of concrete structures. In addition to the smooth profile of steel grade A-I (A240), reinforcing steel according to GOST 5781, depending on mechanical properties, is further divided into steel grades A-II (A300), A-III (A400), A-IV (A600), AV ( A800), A-VI (A1000).

Rebar steel grade A1 is supplied with a diameter of 6 mm to 12 mm in coils and rods, from 12 mm to 40 mm - only in rods. Bar lengths can be:

- measured length
- measured length with unmeasured residues of not more than 2 m, with a mass not exceeding 15% of the mass of the lot
- unmeasured length

It is used in industrial and residential construction of buildings and structures, for earthing installation. Due to the relatively high degree of plasticity, smooth A1 A240 Rebar are indispensable when pouring concrete structures at angle bars and transitions for reinforcing floors, ceilings and walls, beams and girders. From a1 GOST 5781 82 Rebar make a woven mesh with non-standard cell sizes, which is used in the reinforcement of thin-walled reinforced concrete elements. Rebar smooth A1 is used in various enterprises of the coal industry, as well as in the extraction and transportation of oil and gas.
